Day 42 - The end of another Foxie's year.

A bit of a re-group on site today as it's the end of the calendar year but we've still got a solid number of volunteers on site working away.  We've got a part-day blog post today due to website maintenance but we didn't want to leave you without a final Foxie site update for the year.

Work today is continuing on with some bits around the site from yesterday in The Gatehouse, to finish that off ready for volunteers, and with some of the other part-finished tasks from this week.  Mt. First Aid is nearly fully restocked as the last of the items have been arriving from the Amazon Wishlist this week so we're ready for all eventualities although, obviously, no need to use them would be preferable!

We've had some wonderful further offers of things we need which have come in today too, more practical bits for re-decorating and some offers of some of the specific support which we called out for previously.  We really can't express how wonderful it is to have people's support with our project to love Foxlease Park back to life and we see that support in so many different ways each day.

Photos today are actually a bit of a round-up of some of the progress so far in The Gold Room in Foxlease House, with thanks to Volunteers Wendy and Charly for their careful deep cleaning and removal of what looked like 100 dead spiders and (so far) 1 live slug.  Foxlease House has a long way to go to get back to its truly majestic state but the deep cleaning is the start and even with its curtains down and a lot more cleaning to do, it still looked pretty special yesterday evening.
