Day 61 - When Foxie's plans were afoot!

Day 61 - When Foxie's plans were afoot!

No site photos today as all our focus was on paperwork and planning (with Derek and a few other dehumidifiers emptied along the way!) but a little video of some of our on site wildlife of the Deer variety.

Planning-wise, we've ordered the tickets for our ongoing teddy raffle (it's one of the limited guiding centenary bears and electronic tickets are on sale now on the www.foxiesshopping.co.uk website).  We've also set up and ordered tickets for our Spring Raffle which will go live this coming week and which we'll be selling at upcoming events, on site and online too - it's got some amazing prizes and we can't wait to announce it.

We've got some of our marketing materials together to start telling people that we want their bookings.  We've launched them on Facebook this evening, but if you've got a publication that we could put a short article or some wording in then please do get in touch.  We want to let everyone know that Foxlease Park is open for bookings from mid-February onwards for camping, residentials, events spaces or meeting spaces and we've got some more publications and pricing brochures in the works too.

We're planning upcoming events and getting ready for the Quiz which is happening in February, our Barn Dance in March and we've got some workshops and other events which we hope to announce soon once they're at the right point...think coffee mornings, craft workshops (thanks to some fabulous volunteer offers) and open air theatre experiences...coming to a Foxlease Park near you soon!

We've been preparing for our further insurance visit later this week and for some of our compliance checks - lots of paperwork but the team are working hard to make sure we're where we need to be.  Some of the team who were involved in the 24-Hour Sing have been having a well-deserved rest and the funds raised from that so far are incredible - an event that spanned 17 time zones, had over 180 participants, 7 countries and which raised over £5,000 and still counting! Fundraising for us is absolutely vital to ensure that we can do everything that we want to and pay our overheads whilst the site is closed or in its initial bookings period.  It's very expensive to run (not least because our insurance bill alone is £17,000 a month....) and so every penny really does make a difference.

Look out for more news soon, Love Foxie x
