In case of emergency, do not return to your site until instructed to do so by the Duty Manager (advised by a member of the emergency services if required)

Arrival and departure times

  • Check in time 3pm
  • Check out time 11am

Unless arranged prior to stay.

Extended periods may be available, subject to availability and additional charges depending upon the duration of the extension requested. (Extensions to stay are generally charged at £10 per hour from 12 noon on arrival day or up to 2pm on departure day.  Longer extensions are 50% of the campsite/building overnight cost as we can not re-let to another group that day).

Please adhere to arrival and departure times as we are a volunteer led site so do not have staff available at all times.

Barrier and gate on site

We have a barrier on the main entrance.  Please ring 07708 286640 on arrival for the current gate code.  Please park in the main car park and come to reception to check in.

If you have a large number of participants arriving for your event please arrange for someone to welcome arrivals at the barrier.

The main gate will be closed overnight, you will be given the code and are welcome to arrive and leave as necessary.  Please notify our duty manager on 07708 286640 should you be expecting particularly late or early movement as we have CCTV live monitoring in place overnight.

Campervans, caravans and dogs

Unfortunately the site does not permit dogs and we are tent-only camping as we do not have a licence for campervans, caravans or motorhomes at this time

Car parking, loading and unloading

We are a low vehicle movement site, please do not drive on any grass at any time.

Prior to any vehicle movements on site you must check with reception.  Depending on what else is happening on site, you may be able to take a vehicle on the nearest service road for your site for unloading. One permit will be issued per site and must be returned to reception once the vehicle has been returned.

Please return all vehicles to the car park as soon as possible after dropping equipment and always overnight. Trolleys are provided to help you move equipment from the carpark.

Unfortunately due to fire engine access requirements we unable to offer a blue badge parking scheme across the site and cars need to remain in the main car park.  If you have group members with mobility needs please ensure you book an appropriate site and/or arrange for mobility vehicle provision.  We welcome site visits ahead of time and will be happy to work with you in advance to support your needs.

Where do I ask my parents/team/guest to come to? How do I get my young people on site?

We recommend all arrivals/collections happen by the main carpark.  If you have a large number of participants arriving for your event please arrange for someone to welcome arrivals at the barrier.

We have picnic benches to sit at if you are waiting for a collection, or pop into reception for last minute icecreams and shopping!

Ask everyone to come to the main carpark here

Water, waste and rubbish

All the water on our site is drinking water.

Please separate clean, dry recycling (plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays, tins, cans, clean aluminum foil, aerosol cans, paper, card).  Items must be placed loose in our recycling bins.  Contaminated items cost us money, and cause missed collections, so please wash carefully or place in the 'general waste' bins.

Glass must be separated and placed in our dedicated bin.

General waste should be bagged (please provide your own bags) and placed directly in our bins.

Waste removal costs us money, and we are a charitable site - please take broken tents, chairs and equipment home with you.

Open fires and BBQs

Each 'exclusive use' campsite has one altar fire  included (low to the ground). Shared sites will have one altar fire to be shared.

Please use the hard standing available on each site for altar fires and BBQs.  No ground fires except in the designated campfire circles (not on individual campsites).  Disposable BBQs are not permitted anywhere on site.

Bags of logs are available to purchase from reception for £10.

You may use small fallen branches but there is no general wood pile on site.

If you would like to hire additional altar fires (£10 excluding wood) or would like a tall one on your site please email bookings.

Round, charcoal BBQs are available to hire (£10 excluding charcoal).

Fire pits are available to hire (£10 excluding wood) and can be used by groups staying in our buildings or on campsites.  Please email bookings to arrange.

We have two campfire circles on site, these are available to groups.  We do not take pre bookings except for large scale events so you may need to share or visit for part of the evening during busy periods please let know on arrival if you intend to use a campfire circle.

The shop stocks icecream, souvenirs, fun badges and some camping essentials.

Activities on site

Pre bookable activities are available.  For instructor led activities please enquire around 8 weeks ahead.  For activities, pricing and live availability please see each individual activity page.

Please come to reception to collect pre booked activity boxes or to start sessions.

New Forest access

Direct access to the New Forest is available through gates at the top of the Link Field and Orchards. There is a padlock on the gates to the forest from Foxlease Park site, please ask at reception for the current gate code. Please close and lock the gates behind you.  For DofE groups you may find it helpful to station a leader by the gate.

Please be aware of the countryside code and leave no trace - if you are leaving site please close all gates behind you and ensure that you have any relevant permits for your group.  We would ask you to remind everyone in your group that feeding of or contact with ponies is not permitted.

Tourist information is available here.
